Introduction to Major Depressive Disorder
Mental health is a topic we are all familiar with, but it is often very misunderstood as we generally receive little education about it. Onward hopes to correct this issue by providing bite sized pieces of mental health information that are quick and easy to pick up. First up, we will begin with one of the most common mental health conditions, Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). We will look at how it is defined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th Edition by the American Psychiatric Association which is used to diagnose MDD.
